Are your kids excited to see the new Angry Bird Movie out in theaters? We are going to see it this Friday and the kids are super excited! With summer here the kids have been getting some family tv time before bed. Tonight they chose to watch Angry Birds on Netflix and we made this awesome Angry Bird Skittles Popcorn inspired by a yummy chocolate popcorn snack found on Fandango.

About Angry Birds the Movie

The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to. The film also features a hilarious all-star voice cast including Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids, Sisters), Bill Hader (Trainwreck, Inside Out), and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), as well as Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live, Ghostbusters), Sean Penn (Milk, Mystic River) and many others.

We loved this recipe so much that I can’t wait to try it again. We are thinking about making some Green Pig Popcorn Balls next.

The best part is this was ridiculously easy to make. In the time that we popped some popcorn the rest was ready to go!
