It never fails. Every year the holidays sneak up on me and I spend more time than I should scrambling to get all of our holiday shopping done. This year we have decided to try something new to teach our children money sense (and save me from the last minute scramble). This year in our family everyone is getting a couple small gifts from Santa, and one big gift – a gift card – from the family. This Christmas Unlocked Printable xBox Gift Card Holder will be dad’s gift from the kids…because we all know Dad’s are really just kids in adult bodies 😉
Throwing this printable gift card holder together was extremely easy. I did run into a bit of a snafu when I realized that the gift card that I had gotten was bigger than the average gift card and that it had the price on it. Because of this reason, and the fact that I knew this is a gift card that wouldn’t get returned, I did cut our gift card. However, if you do not want to cut your gift card, this printable is still entirely useable for you. Instead of securing the gift card to the front of the printable, you will simply fold the printable along the top dotted line and wrap your gift card inside.
How to Use the Christmas Unlocked Xbox Gift Card Holder
- Printer and Ink
- Tape or Tacky Tape
- xBox Live Gift Card
If you do not want to purchase a gift card online this gift card is also available for purchase at – Ahold, Giant Eagle, Vons, Safeway, Shaw’s, Acme, Kroger, Hy-Vee, Food Lion, Albertson’s, and Hannaford.
1. Download and print off the free printable. (link at the bottom of this post)
2. Cut the bottom section off of your gift card. Make sure to leave the barcode and scratch off code intact. I also cut out the words GOLD and XBOX LIVE for styling.
3.Use tape or tacky tape to secure gift card to the printable holder. When securing your gift card to the holder you want to use something that will not damage the bar code or the scratch-off code. Because of this I would not use glue.
4. Cut out the printable from the cardstock and give it away as a gift!
Easy peasy Christmas gift that any gamer in your life is bound to love!
