Conversation Heart Watercolor Paints

Who knew this science experiment would lead us to discovering How to Make Conversation Heart Watercolor Paints?

Now that Valentine’s day is over my house is overflowing with candy from the kids. In efforts to avoid the impending candy rush that is bound to happen as soon as my kids figure out where I have hidden the candy, we have started doing various science experiments and projects using our candy. Who said you had to eat it anyways?! These Conversation Heart Watercolors have created a fantastic paint and kept my kids occupied and creating for quite some time!

Who knew this science experiment would lead us to discovering How to Make Conversation Heart Watercolor Paints?

This project originally started out as a science experiment that we did last year. How to Make Valen-Slime

How to Make Valentines Day Slime is a fun and easy activity to explore with kids!

We absolutely love playing with liquid starch slime here. It is super easy to make, easy on the wallet, and will keep my kids entertained for hours. Because we love it so much the kids decided that this is what they want to hand out this year for their friends on Valentines Day instead of candy. While I don’t have pictures of it (because we haven’t finished printing ours out to put them together), below you will find printables with a How to Make Valentines Day Slime card and Valentines day baggie topper so your kids can also pass this out to their friends!

Candy Heart Goopy Slime

Valentine's Day Candy Hearts Slime

Conversation Hearts Goop! Some messy gooey Valentine’s Day fun! These candy hearts make for perfect Valentine’s early learning play! We have used them for a quick color sorting game, observation science, and in our love potion #9! This time we made a great science sensory activity of goopy candy heart slime or sometimes called oobleck!
Valentine's Day Candy Hearts Slime
Goop is a pretty amazing sensory experience! Is it a liquid or a solid? Or is it Both?!

Oobleck is what is called a non-Newtonian Fluid. When pressure is exerted on it like squishing it or scooping it up, it acts like a solid. When there is no pressure exerted on it, it flows like a liquid. Scoop it up with a spoon like a solid and watch as it slowly melts off the spoon like a liquid. Amazing!
