This Christmas ornament is great for teaching basic AB pattern along with building some of those fine motor skills. This is a super simple activity that your family is sure to love!

Some of the things that I love about this beaded candy cane ornament is that it doesn’t require much. Set up is simple and once made these ornaments are pretty indestructible. Considering that my two year old has been at war with our Christmas tree since it went up (and after the three or four times it has gone back up…) Christmas ornaments that aren’t going to shatter glass everywhere are pretty important for us.

When it comes to the holidays, peppermint is one of my favorite scents. Just one whiff and it is an instant magical trip back to the land of Santa and Rudolph and snow. Never fails, like a great glass of hot coco, peppermint will always remind me of this time of year.
