This year was our first year having a large garden and we have been having so much fun with it. Just this last week our strawberries were ready for harvest – so we are doing strawberry everything in our home! These Wine Infused Chocolate Covered Strawberries have been by far one of my favorites!

How to Make Wine Infused Chocolate Strawberries

Directions:

1. Fill a glass jar or glass bowl (with a lid) with strawberries. Cover in either Cabernet Sauvignon Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi or Pinot Noir Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi. Allow it to soak overnight.

2. After infusing the strawberries in wine overnight, remove them from the wine and set them on a paper towel or in a bowl to soak up/drain any excess juice. You are going to want to let them sit on the paper towel for at least 20 minutes. If the strawberries are wet or cold coating them in chocolate will be a struggle.

3. In a separate bowl, melt the candy melts as directed on the package. Add in cheesecake candy flavoring oil if desired.

4. Once the chocolate is melted smooth, bring it over to your workstation to start coating the strawberries in chocolate. There are two different methods that can be used.

Method One:
Hold the strawberries by their stem and dip. This can work great or can be a huge mess. Since you soaked the strawberries in Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Wine overnight the stems might be too weak to hold the weight of the strawberry. The other issue that you might run into with this method is that if your strawberries are too wet or too cold, it will affect the entire bowl of chocolate.

Method Two:
Use a spoon to apply the chocolate to the strawberry. This will not have the beautiful dipped look, but it is pretty foolproof.

5. Set on wax paper, cover in sprinkles, and allow chocolate coating to harden.

6. Once hardened, plate and enjoy!

If you have any leftovers after coating the desired amount of strawberries make a Wine Infused Strawberry Chocolate Bar. Both are absolutely heavenly!
