Minecraft Creeper Treats

Total Time 20 minutes
Author Parenting Chaose

Ingredients

  • Rice Krispies we used the box of 8 prepackaged treats
  • Green Chocolate Candy Coating
  • Black Food Dye and Food Pen
  • Cake Pop Sticks or Paper Straws we used paper straws
  • Utensils for Dipping
  • Wax Paper
  • Packaging Decorations

Instructions

  1. Since the Rice Krispies Treats are perfectly sized there is no need to do anything with them other than open the packaging! Easy peasy.
  2. In a glass cup microwave your green chocolate candy melts for one minute. Stir. Repeat in 30 second intervals until the chocolate is melted smooth. It usually only takes me 1:30 to reach the consistency needed.
  3. Once the chocolate is smooth dip your Rice Krispies into the chocolate. Personally I left the bottom part of the treat exposed, you can cover the entire thing if you would like. Then place your treats on a piece of wax paper to harden.
  4. Once hardened take a knife and trim any excess that formed from sitting on a flat surface. You might get a finger print on your treats, but that’s ok it will cover back up.
  5. In the bottom of your treat stick your pop stick.
  6. Using your black food dye and food pen draw on your Creeper faces. Creeper’s face is made of squares and rectangles so this is super simple for kids to do. You can just use a food pen if you would like. I never have luck with them working evenly so I use the two together. If you cannot find a food pen you could also use a paint brush.
  7. Allow your Minecraft Creeper Treats to dry and serve!
