Shark Sensory Bottle
These calming bottles are super cool and real easy to make! All of my kids love to make these on their very own. They absolutely love to see all the cool sharks floating around when they’re finished! But c’mon, sharks are the coolest so of course, they’ll love it!
Items needed to make your shark glitter bottle:
Voss Water Bottle or another bottle with a wide mouth, flat bottom, and clear — preferably plastic.
Corn Syrup
Blue Food Dye
Blue Glitter
Cooking Oil
Safari Ltd. Shark toob.

How to make your shark sensory bottle:
These sensory calming bottles are so easy to make that my kids are always making these all on their own, and they love it! They just love seeing the sharks float around too.
The very first thing you need to do is in a separate glass, combine corn syrup and desired amount of food dye. (Be sure you are using regular food dye as oil based does not mix well with cooking oil.) The amount of corn syrup should equal approximately ½ to ¾ of the sensory bottle.
The next thing you will do is add your mixture into the sensory bottle and add in the desired amount of glitter and toys. Top it off with cooking oil.
Some may feel it to be helpful to take a safety precaution and glue the lids shut on the bottles so your littles can’t get them open. We typically just have my hubs screw it on super tight, but you may want to glue them shut yourself.
Now your kids can play with these cool shark discovery bottles! It’s so cool to watch the sharks travel throughout the bottle. Not every shark character will travel in the same way! Some will go to one end, while others will go to the opposite end. Many shark characters will sink to the bottom, while others will float to the top. It’s so cool to see what each shark character does inside these sensory bottles!
