This week has been rough. With my kids off at camp for the last weeks of summer, I thought I would get a million things done, including their back to school shopping. Instead? Instead, I found myself bouncing around and scrambling.

…and I couldn’t figure out why.

Then the other night my hubs pointed out that it was now August and I hadn’t touched our family binder all summer. The binder that is my sanity — that keeps me on track, organized, and focused…no wonder I was all over the place.

Now, for some people January first is the mark of when they refill their calendars and prepare for an awesome year of organization and goal meeting. For me though, that time is back-to-school; when we finally start back into our regular routine. Because of that this couldn’t have been a more perfect time for me to pick our family binder back up and update it with some new printables 😉

And so I pulled everything out and got to work. It took me a couple of days, but our new binder is ready to go and available to you! I even managed to get our back to school supply shopping done at Walmart, including an awesome new HP Printer which was perfect for this project!

When I started this project, I knew I was going to need an affordable all-in-one printer that didn’t take up a lot of space and was easy on the ink. It was a pretty sad day when we unpacked our old printer from the move and found it in pieces. When I found this printer I was beyond excited. Not only can I print up to twice as many pages with its Original HP high-yield ink cartridges, it also offers easy mobile printing which means I was able to work on this while stuck under a sleeping baby!

Currently, my office is set up in the basement playroom because that allows me to keep an eye on the kids while working, but when I got stuck under a sleeping Mr. Roo I was still able to print with ease from upstairs. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me!

My favorite page out of this packet is the activity planner which is pictured above. There are so many different ways that this can be used. Personally, I use this as a way to visually see what every family member has to do each week – we even use it to keep track of whose turn it is for what chores.

You can grab your free printable here. Make sure to follow along as over the next couple of months we will be sharing some more of our favorite family binder printables!
