Fertility Tips

Relax

Studies show that when women are stressed out it takes longer to conceive. I know this is easier said than done. A great tip is to limit yourself to focusing on fertility to just 20 minutes a day. Women deal with fertility in a very social way, we love to talk about it. That can increase the stress though so try to realistic and not let your fertility goals over run your life. Set up your daily goals for how you want to live while trying to conceive and then let it happen!

Diet

I know this is not one most of us want to talk about but the fact is that being overweight can keep some women from getting pregnant and certainly women under weight have the same issues. It all has to do with hormones. Eat clean! Pesticides are known to inhibit fertility so go organic, you and baby are worth it! Get in all your greens everyday as they are packed with nutrition your body needs and can help your body PH level and that is important to your health and baby making plans!

Water

This is an easy one but it is also so easy to over look. I go by the rule that you need as many ounces of water per day as half your body weight in pounds. So if you are 160lbs then you need 80 ounces of water a day. Research why this is so great. (Remember to stick to the 20 minutes a day rule though so you don’t increase your stress level!)

Supplements

Of course with all things having to do with health you will want to talk to your doctor. We all know the basic things to be taking though right? A good multi vitamin and added folic acid supplement. There are other things you can take too such as if you have had blood work showing your progesterone is low that is a supplement you might want to add. Research shows L-Carnitine and Selenium to be helpful!

Your PH matters!

This is something I wish I had known more about the first time I was struggling to conceive. Your significant other could be depositing his sperm in an environment that is hostile to life. I know, not pretty words. A lubricant can help sperm swim better and live longer but it has to be the right one or it makes it all that much worse. Astroglide TTC Trying to Conceiveâ„¢ is what I recommend. Astroglide TTCâ„¢ is just $12.99 and a great value compared to other products.

Our Journey Trying to Conceive After Surogacy

Astroglide TTC™ is a specially formulated for couples who are trying to conceive, Astroglide TTC supports fertility with adjusted pH levels, compatible osmolality and a consistency similar to your body’s cervical mucus. Each package contains 8 pre-filled disposable applicators that make it easy to coat the inside of the vagina, supplementing natural fluids and enhancing comfort.

How it works:

When trying to conceive, it is vital to provide an environment where sperm has a chance of survival. Environmental conditions are affected by pH levels, osmolality (the concentration of substances like sodium and potassium) and the consistency of egg white cervical mucus. While traditional lubricants may affect these conditions and inhibit sperm motility, studies have shown that Astroglide TTC is compatible with sperm, oocytes and embryos and allows sperm to move freely.

TTC is specially formulated with adjusted pH levels, compatible osmolality and a consistency similar to that of your own cervical mucus, making it less likely to hinder sperm motility than traditional lubricants. TTC also contains galactose, which is found naturally in semen, as well as fructose, the main source of energy for sperm.

Like all Astroglide products, TTC also temporarily relieves vaginal dryness during sexual activity
