Twice Baked Spaghetti: A Simple Family Favorite!

Sharing is caring!

Woohoo! It’s Friday! Another long long week is coming to an end here and Katy Perry is blasting through my head (“Last Friday night we were dancing in a bar…you’re welcome you can sing it all day with me now 😉 ). I love my job, but some weeks (like this one) I dream of Fridays. I don’t know about you guys but I am majorly looking forward to a kid free date night with the hubs. Face to face conversations with another adult? Yes please…my sanity needs you!

This Twice Baked Spaghetti is a super simple throw together meal that just about everyone will love and is amazing as leftovers; which makes it the perfect dish for date night because who wants cook meals the day after staying up way too late?

Once your onions are good and golden add in your beef and cook fully. As your beef browns shred your mozzarella. I personally prefer to use the largest selection on my grater for this dish.

Once your noodles are done, drain of water. Once your meat is done, drain of grease. Preheat oven to 360 degrees. Then starting with noodles on the bottom layer your noodles, meat, sauce, and cheese in a large baking pan.

Now here is the secret to my baked spaghetti. I use two sauces when baking this casserole. Not much of a secret I guess…

For the first layer I use a vodka sauce such as Mia’s. Add about 1 1/2 cups of cheese and repeat your layers.

For the second layer I tend to choose chunkier spaghetti sauces such as Classico’s Roasted Garlic and Caramelized Onion Sauce. Then top with lots and lots of cheese. The more the better! Bake until cheese melts and serve!

  1. Thanks, throwing it in the oven now but I have no doubt it will be delicious. I only had 2 jars of the same sauce, but I did have 2 bags of white cheeses. So I changed mine to 2 cheeses; a 5 mix Italian and a mozzarella. 🤓
