Making Sensory Play Recipes at home is a frugal and simple way to have hours of fun with your kids. Creating our own play materials is by far one of my families favorite ways to spend a day at home together. We could seriously create with play recipes daily!
Playing with your kids does not need to be messy, complicated, or expensive. Plus this play is a fantastic way to sneak in some sensory integration to your play!
Ever been in one of those situations where you need your kids preoccupied safely so you can work? I have and that is how this fun glow in the dark sensory rice idea was born 😉
So, we have now been here for seven months and I am still unpacking. I don’t think it has ever taken me this long to get my life organized. It has been crazy. With the hubs working long hours during the day we decided to invest in some photography lights so that I could hang out with the kids and work on the house while he was at work and then go to my job at night.
Alrighty guys, I have held out on this as long as I could. But with only a couple more days until Fall equinox I think I am safe in sharing…PUMPKINS! Don’t worry, I am not a pumpkin latte girl so ya’ll wont be bombarded with drink recipes. But, I do love just about everything else pumpkin. How could I not? This Pumpkin Spice Play Dough is an awesome way to greet Autumn and fill your home with some fantastic scents through play!
I absolutely love making homemade play dough for the kids. With how quickly we spend through play dough, it is definitely a must…otherwise my pocket book would be taking quite the hit.
Scented Sidewalk Chalk Paint Recipe for Play: Need a quick outdoor activity that will keep your kiddos entertained and exploring? Then this is for you! This simple recipe only requires three ingredients, will not stain your sidewalk, and is perfect for some simple outdoors fun!
This week has been rough to say the least. Trying to get back into the swing of work, get kids started into their new programs, get hubs settled into his new job, finding a new OB…and which boxes are those toys in?! I am pretty sure Meatball thinks I am torturing him as we tear through the boxes looking for the indoor toys.
Thankfully it has been gorgeous outside and the yard at the new house is fabulous! Nothing like kicking the kids outside to play!! After digging who knows how many holes to the center of the earth we were needing a new activity. Enter this scented sidewalk chalk paint. I have seen a couple different recipes floating around that all called for food dye. While I do use food dye in some of our homemade paint recipes I did not want to use it for our sidewalk chalk paint because of the way concrete absorbs…I was worried about staining. This recipe not only did not stain our sidewalks, it kept my kids entertained for a good two hours! That’s a win if you ask me!!
