The other day after making our Frozen Fizzy ABC Sensory Bin, we had a bit of leftover baking soda paste. Instead of throwing it away we set it aside to make this super fun Chocolate Moonsand. The kids had an absolute blast playing with this simple sensory bin!

The idea to make this actually came from an organic baby food we have fallen in love with. Earlier this month we were sent some samples of Once Upon a Farm to try. Their High Pressure Processed baby foods only uses organic foods in their natural states – they are preservative free. And Mr. Roo has fallen in love. While trying out this product he got his first taste of chocolate from their Chocolate Ever After Baby Food Blend. The look on his face and his squeals of delight as he enjoyed creamy banana, avocado, and raspberry with raw cacao was absolutely priceless and has inspired us to include chocolate in our sensory play!

By the time the boys nap was up, they were still out there playing. A truly rare occurrence! The boys had just as much fun with this! Mr. Roo did try a taste test nothing in this play recipe could hurt him…although it didn’t taste the best – he promptly spit it out!
