One of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions with my kids is making a Thankful Turkey hat every year before dinner. It is such a fun way to spend some time reflecting on our year while bonding over a simple craft!
Usually, we pull out the construction paper, scissors, crayons, and glue and just go to town creating our own hats. This year though I needed something a bit different. You see, my toddler is Mr. Busy and in the what can I get away with stage. He requires A LOT of attention. I designed this Thanksgiving printable in order to allow us to still craft our Thanksgiving hats with minimal stress when it comes to letting him participate.
If you ask me they turned out pretty damn adorable!

Ways to Work on Your Childs Skills with this Craft:
This hat is a fantastic craft for working on basic fine motor skills. Cutting, coloring, and gluing is perfect for this! The feathers on this craft have the writing prompt “I am thankful for…” which is a great way to work on reflection and gratitude. If your little is not big enough yet to write words have them draw a picture of what they are thankful for and dictate their photo!
We had a blast with this and hope you do too!
If you aren’t printing this activity off right this second, pin this post so you can easily find it later!
